Saturday: Focusing with Your Muse

We begin our journey with exercises that tune into your creative spark and uncover the muse within. Through the technique of focusing, learn how to allow the wisdom held in your body guide your pen. Creative writing evolves naturally and fearlessly out of these explorations.

We end our day with a full moon picnic listening to local story tellers and musicians at Mauna Lani Eva Parker woods cottage. This special evening is hosted by Danny Akaka who has dedicated his life to perpetuating Hawaiian tradition and sharing Hawaii’s unique blend of respect, graciousness, and power through storytelling, hula, education, and chant.

Sunday: Massaging Your Creative Knot

A day of pampering and working out the knots in your writing with fun art play/discovery with a variety of materials and journalling. How to massage out that inner critic that yells, "I can't", "I'm a fraud", "who am I kidding" and causes havoc in your creative flow. Today we focus on the inner whisper of "I can", "dream big", "I believe in myself" and turn it into a roar! You will transform those limiting thoughts and release your creative energy.
